Udinese-Lazio: The Preview
By: Jason | March 15th, 2008Match day is upon us Zebrette!
The Stadio Friuli will surely be buzzing with anticipation for this important match with Lazio. Udinese will be looking for a little help from the other Roman side in Serie A as they take on AC Milan this evening. With the bianconeri sitting a mere 6 points behind an off-again/on-again Milan side, a win against Lazio and a victory by the giallorossi will do well to re-energize Udinese. Recent form has been subpar from Udinese (D-W-L-L-W), Lazio has looked good (W-D-W-L-W) in their past 5 matches. Also, Udinese have been struggling at home (everywhere really) in their last 5 matches at Fiuli, having only procured a single win. Something has to change today if the Marino’s lads want to stop the grey haird growing on the gaffer.
Here’s the answer…
However with their last meeting ending in a triumphant 1-0 victory for the bianconeri away at the Stadio Olympico, Udinese will be coming out strong for today’s match. In a recent interview with Goal.com, Di Natale gave some encouraging words to the Zebrette faithful. Sitting only 5 goals back of his single season scoring record, Udinese’s leading scorer is looking to inspire his club today who certainly have the memory of the 4-2 defeat at home against Lazio last campaign ringing in their ears.
