Match Day 28
By: Jason | March 16th, 2008Well folks…my beloved Roma topples AC Milan in dramatic fashion, leaving room for the Zebrette to inch closer to 5th place and solidify a European spot. However, this was not to be. Though it was an exciting match and took a stroke of genius by Di Natale to salvage a point, our defense looked undeniably shaky, not to mention a poor performance by Handanovic.
WHAT HAPPENED HANDY!

Check the highlights folks, it was a nail-biter...
With an early goal by Rocchi, I must admit I could feel the sweat beginning to creep up on me. Our defense was stunned from the get go and was rocked during the first 45 and Handanovic looked a shadow of his former self. However, the crucial tap in by Ferronetti off of the Pepe corner brought new life to the Zebrette. However, a wonder strike by Ledesma...which will surely place him somewhere on the Seriea.tv top goals countdown, was all it took to deflate my hopes of victory at home. Six minutes later, prayers throughout the Friuli were answered by way of a spectacular finish by who other than Di Natural.

Just as Udinese began to step up pressure in the final 4 minutes, I found myself shouting at the screen as we all watched Pepe BLOW IT!
What was he, like 5 yards from the net, and he fires wide. Midweek must bring a better result against Torino, as AC Milan will visit Sampdoria. Let's hope the Sampa boys can pull one over on the Milan outfit and maybe the bianconeri can cut the lead to 3 points for 5th place in the table.
