Guys, I’m happy that you’re happy, but these A.S. Roma impersonations…

Um… yeah.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, after the jump you will see Di Natale doing what can best be described as Neapolitan Riverdance.  I sh*t you not.

Shenanigans occur at about 2:12.   Be forewarned – you may never look Toto the same after viewing this :

For the record, Channel 4 Italia described that celebration with one word: “terrible.”

Thankfully, our ragazzi got all of that frolicking and dancing out of their respective systems quickly enough to grab three points against Lecce.  Speaking of Lecce, watching these highlights, I was debating with myself as to who their squad was replaced with: a second-rate EPL squad, or the Aussie rugby team.

Udinese 2 – 0 Lecce

Now, it’s on to Olimpico, and let me just tell you – I’m not looking forward to it.  If my striker rotation prediction holds true (I’m 3 for 3 at the moment), the Giallorossi will be faced with Fabio Quagliarella and this guy, but I honestly don’t think they’ll be enough to stop Roma at Olimpico.  On the upshot, maybe they’ll *all* join hands and gallop together after the match. Or not.

It kind of looks to me like some old school break dancing – you know, like the kind you do in your parachute pants to Herbie Hancock.

I swear, he was seconds from moon walking.

Give Di Natale a break, he couldn’t help but but bust out some moves when he heard that ‘They Call Me Crazay’ EUro Disco playing over the highlights

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parachute_pants
“Parachute pants are a style of trousers (pants) characterised by the use of ripstop nylon and / or extremely baggy cuts. In the original loose-fitting, extraneously zippered style of the late 70s ‘parachute’ refers to the pants’ synthetic nylon material. In the later 80s ‘parachute’ may refer to the extreme baggyness of the pant. They are typically worn as men’s wear and are often brightly colored”

Such a lovely photo. Maybe next time they’ll be celebrating by dancing “Swan Lake”?

Soooo…. Udinese is now the only Italian team left in international competition. What are the odds this will yield a groundswell of support across the country that will psychologically spur the Zebrette to victory against Zenit and improve their standings in Serie A? Please?

Hey guys. As you probably know, I’m the Julian who runs the Italy WorldCupBlog (click my name for a link), and I was hoping to get some help from you guys for an upcoming series of posts. I’m asking each writer for a serie A club to email me, if you’d like to, and name 2 or 3 players who you believe should get called up to the Azzurri. Not players that are already a fixture, but maybe young guys who haven’t gotten a call up yet, or older overlooked players who deserve one. If you could email me, that’d be awesome. Much thanks.
